A Spanish Ogress Named Rulo – Peraleda, 1896

FULL TEXT: A shocking series of child murders is reported to have taken place at the village of Peraleda in Spain, where a single woman named Rulo enticed over a dozen young children into her house, and then threw eight of then down a well in her garden. Four of the children when they saw what was happening jumped screaming from a window of the house into the street, and three of them were seriously injured. When the murderess saw this she turned to the garden and threw herself into the well after her victims. It is supposed the woman was attacked with a sudden fit of insanity.
